Economic
Development

The Town of Heath Springs partners with the
Lancaster County Economic Development
Corporation for recruitment of new business and
industry as well as providing existing industry
programs and services.
The Heath Springs Business Park, a new Class A
South Carolina Certified industrial park, has
67-acres available for new business and
industry. The $1.4 million park is owned
by Lancaster County and was built using funds
from Lancaster County, The Town of Heath
Springs, The State of South Carolina, Comporium
Communications, and Lynches River Electric
Cooperative.
The park is located on U.S. 521 in the northern
section of town and has rail access via the
Lancaster & Chester Railway. The Town of
Heath Springs provides water and sewer service
to the park and Lynches River Electric
Cooperative is the electricity provider.
Fiber communications and natural gas are also
available in the park.
Plans are currently underway to design and build
a 50,000 square foot speculative building in
2009.
Local and state incentive packages are available
to qualifying companies based on job creation,
average wage rates, and total investment.
Business and industry that are interested in
locating in the park should contact the
Lancaster County Economic Development
Corporation.
