Events
Each year, the Town of Heath Springs and other
communities in Lancaster County host festivals
and events for residents and visitors to our
community.
Heath Springs 4th of July Festival
The
Heath Springs community played a role in
bringing independence to America. During
the Revolutionary War, several battles and
skirmishes took place in and around Heath
Springs including Buford's Massacre and the
Battle of Hanging Rock. In honor of our
past and those that fought to secure our
freedoms, the Town of Heath Springs hosts its
annual 4th of July Festival each summer.
The festival is held downtown and features
tributes to America's Independence, food, music,
a parade, and is capped off with an impressive
fireworks display the evening of the 4th.
We will be adding information about this year's
festival to the website soon. We hope
you'll come to town and join us!
The L&C Santa Express
For
the past two years, The Town of Heath Springs
has partnered with SeeLancaster, and the L&C
Railroad for one of the most popular Christmas
events in the entire Charlotte Region - the
Santa Train.
Fun for children and adults alike, the train
leaves the L&C headquarters in Lancaster and
travels to the beautifully restored and historic
train depot in downtown Heath Springs.
Once there visitors are greeted with food,
music, and Christmas cheer. During the
ride to and from Lancaster, event staff provides
entertainment and children and adults alike
fully enjoy a trip back in time by rail.
Check back soon as we will provide information
about the 2009 Santa Train which promises to be
bigger and better than ever. We must
provide a special thanks to SeeLancaster and the
L&C Railroad for their hard work and support of
the Santa Train each year.
