Town Services
The day-to-day operations of the Town of Heath
Springs are managed by the Town Clerk and
supervised by the Mayor. Main offices for
the Town of Heath Springs are located just off
Main Street at 103 Duncan Street. Departments,
programs, and services of
the Town include:

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk serves as clerk to the Town
Council, serves as the main office manager for
the Town, and handles all accounts payable/receivables, and serves as the
collections department for the Town including
billing and collections for water, sewer, and
business license fees.

Law Enforcement
The Town of Heath Springs contracts with the
Lancaster County Sheriff's Department to provide
law enforcement services for residents.

Fire Department
The Town of Heath Springs receives fire
protection from the Heath Springs Volunteer Fire
Department which is located adjacent to Town
Hall at 103 Duncan Street. The department
has 12 volunteers. The Lancaster County
Fire Service provides oversight of all County
volunteer departments and provides funding
assistance for new equipment and training.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
The Lancaster County EMS operates a station in
Heath Springs at 309 Hart Street and provides
emergency medical assistance to Town of Heath
Springs residents.

Municipal Court
Judge Van Richardson serves as Municipal Judge for
the Town of Heath Springs. Court is held
monthly at Heath Springs Town Hall.

Water & Wastewater
The Town of Heath Springs owns and operates
water and wastewater facilities. The Town
handles all billing for these services and has
contractual agreements to oversee the
maintenance and operation of these facilities.

Maintenance Department
Maintains streets, brush and leaf pickup, and
maintenance of Town facilities.

Garbage Department
Provides garbage pickup for residents on Tuesday
of each and week.

Parks & Recreation
Parks and recreation programs and services are
contracted through the Lancaster County Parks &
Recreation Department. The Town of Heath
Springs owns and maintains several parks in the
community.

Economic Development
Recruitment of new business and industry and
programs and services for existing industry are
provided to the Town through a partnership with
the Lancaster County Economic Development
Corporation (LCEDC). The Town of Heath
Springs is a member of the LCEDC and Mayor Ann
Taylor serves on the Board of Directors and
serves as the LCEDC Secretary.
