Did You Know?

Davis Neon Signs, which is located in Heath Springs, is a family owned business that has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of steel and plastic commercial signs in the U.S.?  Davis Neon employs more than 70 local residents and builds signs for major corporations including Ford Motor Company, GM, and Honda Motor Company.

Heath Springs Veterans Monument

The Town of Heath Springs and the Heath Springs Veterans Association is committed to the development of a monument dedicated to all war veterans and for the benefit of all South Carolina residents.

Project Vision

Heath Springs, SC has always been a region dedicating its residents to become loyal citizens to our great nation.   It also has one of the most highly dense populations of war veterans per capita.  Yet surprisingly, Heath Springs has no way of commemorating these individuals.  In the past, small reminders have been used to memorialize our veterans.  However, for a place which purports itself to be a community that honors the memory of those who have served our country, very little has been done.

But it doesn't have to stay that way.  In the past few months, residents of the surrounding Heath Springs area have empowered themselves to reclaim an area of the town's land space and infuse it with a new life and new sense of purpose.  One day it will serve as a monument to commemorate its past, present, and future veterans.  The time is now!

Monument Details

The monument will be permanently displayed at the corner of where the Town of Heath Springs' old water tower stood directly facing North Main Street (U.S. Highway 521).  The 18-foot tall granite monument will have a 4-foot base, a 10-foot mid-section, and a 4-foot top.  Engraved on it will be the lists of names of those who served in military conflicts from the Spanish American War to the present.  Around the main monument will be granite viewing benches, landscaping, brick walkways, and lighting for night time illumination.
